Enjoyed your game, well done. I have also played some of your other games (Cauzage and MisPlaced) because I enjoyed this one so much. Keep up the great work.
I played the original version so I struggled with the doors. Glad to see you released an updated version addressing the problem! It was a cute little horror game and I enjoyed it.
Thoughts on the game are pretty solid! Although the jumpscares lacked a bit, I'd give it a solid 8/10! If you're interested, check out my video on this game and have a nice day!!!
Loved the story, it was heartbreaking, yet gruesome. The medical condition made this game so frightening, not the scares in my opinion, well done! It's the first game in my video.
interesting game!! i wish there was a bit more added to the story though so that i could really think about who was dead lol but otherwise, the atmosphere was very scary and i didn't see the first jump scare coming at alllll haha. thanks vinil!!
Updated the file, Fixed door now you can Interact the door properly with E and increased brightness a little bit.Let me know if there are anymore fixes.Thank you
The gameplay of the game is very straight-forward. It's a horror game, and it plays exactly into that. The game had me on edge, and the overall experience was enjoyable for someone wanting to play a short horror indie-game.
The controls are easy to understand, however I didn't find myself really interacting with a lot, whether that was due to my inability to find things, or if there isn't a lot currently.
(The first jump scare, completely got me, verbally it made me let out a noise.)
The game is very dark, mainly outside, within the house it's honestly fine as it fits the aesthetic of the game.
The main issue I had was with the doors, I had to drag my mouse across my screen 3-4 times in order to open the door, which would make me view away from the actual room I was trying to enter.
Art Style/Graphics:
The graphics I really enjoyed, I sometimes try to stray away from repetitive graphics with similar genres (Top-down pixel farming sims for example). as I don't want to be repetitive in my reviews
However, the graphics in this game I really enjoyed, it still felt unique alongside the environment, I found myself looking at the pictures on the wall, although I quite couldn't make out exactly what they were, it brought an eerie uncanny valley feeling, as I could almost make it out, but couldn't. Had me playing the game longer and immersing myself within the game-world you created.
The high saturation with the dark lighting in the game I believe really brings out the SCARE factor in the game, you go from not being able to see properly, to oversaturated walls in the hallway from lighting, and it works WELL.
In my opinion the Menu Screen, although this does not take away from the experience of the game, and isn't BAD by any means, it's just slightly generic, the font almost feels like it doesn't fit.
Often a menu screen can deter people from playing a game, it shouldn't but it can.
Environment:
The environment in this game is incredible, I can't fault it. At points the game had me walking around corners slowly, being careful walking into darkened areas and at one point I turned down the volume, to avoid getting possibly jumped scared. (Near the end, leaving the house towards the graveyard had me worried.)
No real cons to the environment, it fit the game perfectly, even with the game being dark, I felt at some points in the house it added to the game.
Music:
The menu screen music that plays really sets the mood for the game, it has that 8-bit type of horror themed music, which suits the pixel-like graphics within the game.

Sound Design:
From the doors/floors creaking, to the clock, and the strange sounds happening when walking around, the sound design was great, like I discussed above, I found myself turning down the volume. I'd honestly say the sound design in this game is what REALLY makes this game the way it is.

Overall:
If you haven't played the game, experience it for yourself. Treat it as an experience, turn off the lights, have your headset on, and immerse yourself. Although a short-horror game, it will put you on edge in that short-time.
