i have a couple critiques with the game. just small ones that i know can be ironed out. the opening of the doors mechanic is good! genuinely i like the idea of dragging it open. but its very clunky and needs some tweaking or using the mouse wheel button. its WAY too dark i can barely see anything like at all so hopefully theres a brightness setting later on. outside of that not bad! very soli
Hey I decided to feature your game on my latest video! It's even the thumbnail! I had a lot of fun with it, and it did get me pretty good! I hope you achieve big success with your next games and projects!
pretty good game, i liked the graphics quite a bit and the atmosphere was good. i liked all the scares except the last one because the fist on your jaw felt more random than anything. the length left a lot to be desired, i think a longer game like this could be great! pretty good quality, hope you keep growing!
Graphics looked real crispy, but sadly, the game was quite short, and the story was a little unclear for me. It would be interesting to see more of these games in the same style you used in MisPlaced. The VHS camera effect made it look more retro, and added a spark to the horror element. I was wondering, would you be interested in developing a game together? I am no game programmer myself nor own any programs to do such, but could come up with storylines for horror related characters and do some concept art for them, but don't expect anything too fancy. Nevertheless, interesting game.
I enjoyed the pixelated, PS1-era graphics. Sadly, the description story is more interesting than the game and both take about the same amount of time. The "key features", although technically accurate, were effective enough to reel me in and generate interest- but failed on delivery, in my opinion. I wanted to like this game. The environment is so dark in many places [completely devoid of all lighting] that the interesting atmosphere is mostly lost. The description sounds like a great game concept, however, it is not really reflected by the actual content. There is potential for some of the ideas here, but the whole project is too small to really accomplish anything. On environmental storytelling, there is most certainly exposition present- but its given to the player via disjointed and overly vague notes. Although I'm clearly not singing it's praises, I don't really have any regrets about it either. I hope the dev keeps at it and expands in the future. There's potential underneath it all.
Edit: I noticed the changelog mentioning brightness, as well as a thumbnail that shows a shower curtain [which was not present in my game]. I redownloaded to make sure I had played the updated game file. I did have the correct version, and still feel like there are many areas in complete darkness. Please let me know if there is remaining user error here. As I mentioned- I want to like this game.
Thank you for playing and giving the review ,appreciate for your time and for the curtains parts i removed it in game for visibility , for the next game i will see to it and improve
Wow, what a twisted game! Very dark and disturbing. I had fun with it, I liked the notes and the context to stuff. When I played 2nd time round, I had missed a few notes, bit that dont matter.
That ONE jumpscare had me well. 😂👻
Very good job, please do keep up the hard work! I hope to see what more comes from you. Here is my gameplay! Please check it out.
This game is dark, not only the story but the environment too. While playing the game, I didn't like the darkness, however upon review I actually really liked it. I did miss a couple of notes, which I spotted while editing the video. If the story is what I think it is, then the home being dark makes a little more sense. I would say the door mechanics needs a bit of work, I struggled getting the front door open at the end. Other than that, it left me thinking quiet a bit. Great job. Also the menu music is way louder than I expected when the game loaded and there needs to be someway to close the game after it ends. Keep up the good work though.
Thank you for review and i have updated the game with new file i had fixed the door and lighting .i guess you downloaded my old file anyways thank you for playing
